Looking for a new jogging route or bike ride in or around New Haven? This site allows you to find and submit your own local routes, complete with commentary, distance, and ratings. At post time, there were 902 running routes, 168 bike rides, and 37 walks posted in New Haven. Don’t forget other nearby options like Hamden and Guilford. MapMyRun also has applications for GoogleMaps, Facebook, and RSS feeds. Routes are nicely integrated with GoogleMaps and no login or account setup is required to search and view routes.
The rundown on Club Sports at Yale
29 October, 2009Club sports are an undergraduate institution at Yale. While most teams typically welcome graduate student members, there is a participation limit on the ratio of graduate students to undergraduates.
For club teams for which we could not find websites, you may have to do a little more footwork to track them down. Your best bet is to look out for an Activities Fair held at the Payne Whitney Gym near the beginning of the school year. Most club teams have tables and you can ask questions and sign up then.

Tennis courts in New Haven
6 October, 2009Tennis courts are free and open to the public on weekends at Wilbur Cross High School, at the northern end of Nicoll St. in East Rock. There is also a track available for running.
Albertus Magnus College also has tennis courts available for public use.
